Root Cellar KL

Root Cellar KL is a project by chef and all round nice person, Basira Yeusuff in collaboration with a bunch of people who are also not too shabby.

Basira Yeusuff, along with her brother, Abbas Yeusuff, handle and manage Root Cellar KL's day to day operations, from designing menus and cooking (Basira) to logistics, supply management and email replying (Abbas).

Root Cellar KL is a project kitchen encompassing pop ups, custom menu design, laughing, catering, baking, and event dining based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.


On the night of 23rd February 2017, we got all dolled up and our canapes got to work the room at the #BuroArtBeat party held at Wei-Ling Contemporary Art Gallery, The Gardens. The event successfully fund-raised a prodigious amount of RM156,500 for the welfare of animals in support of the SPCA. All for a good cause and a barking good time! HAH.
